Warm up
With a calm voice and a passionate smile, BranuOne started with a warm up. He had around 15 young students. Most of them were beginners, a few ones were intermediate. The level of his students didn't make a difference in his style of teaching. He never forgot to praise his students silently with regular slaps on the backs of all students. None of the beginners felt discouraged by him.BranuOne is not a teacher only, he is a pure and passionate dancer. I could see this during a break. While his tired students were taking a break and drinking some water, he stayed in the room, kept on dancing and enjoying the music.
Attitude
His lesson didn't only consist of showing and copying. The students could also try out the dance moves by themselves with a partner. BranuOne checked if the couples made them correctly and showed them respect with shaking hands.Of course, a little bit history of the dance styles must be! For example with practising the "Jacking" and explaining its origin, the students could get some historical input too.
BranuOne was neither shy nor proud. While making up a routine with his students, he was open-minded to ask one of his professional students to teach him a move she had made in freestyle during the workshop. He was very quick in learning it, showing it and varifying it.
More than dancing...
Dancing doesn't only mean to move your body to the music. It also means working on your fitness and keeping an eye on your health. After 3 hours dancing and practising, the last hour was for a workout and for stretching.Photo gallery
