29th of November, 2014

Hey, guys!

After a long break, I'm back. There is a lot to do, but first I got a lot to tell you about the 29th of November.

I met rapper Hef (Team H-Town, Slangswitch, Familienbande, organisator of the Stylebreak Jam) and his mate Milkman (Familienbande) at the Viennese Championship in All Styles Show Dance. Urban styles dancer BranuOne (MNP crew) from Slovakia was there to jugdge the participants too. I was watching the first rounds and had to left all three to get to next project.

Bboy Turtle (Unique Artists crew) was on time at the main library of Vienna in the seventh district. We waited together with some of his friends for freestyle rapper Knostel da Huber for a collab on the street. It was rainy and cold, but the weather did not hold them back to show their passion to Hip Hop.

After that little jam, I rushed to the Clubraum to meet rapper Beli Vuk in person for the first time. I had interviewed and supported him only via FB and never met him in person. I was curious and excited!

Viennese Championship in All Styles Show Dance with Hef and Milkman

No, I've never been before at the University Sports Institute of Vienna. (Shame on me!) But on the 29th November, I had the chance to change that. I went there to watch Hef (Team H-Town, Slangswitch, Familienbande, organisator of the Stylebreak Jam) together with his mate Milkman (Familienbande) emceeing the Viennese Championship in All Styles Show Dance. I also wanted to talk with BranuOne (MNP crew) from Slovakia. He was judge at this event and talked with him during the break. What a warm hearted dancer!

Hef and Milkman introduced themselves as Dieter Chmelar and Peter Rapp. Who is Dieter and Peter? These names are definitely not Hef's and Milkman's real names. Mr. Chmelar and Mr. Rapp are famous MCs in Austrian TV. Hef and Milkman slipped into Chmelar's and Rapp's role and entertained the participants and the audience. I was laughing a lot.

I had to go when every participant had given their show in their first rounds. There was a lot of drama during the break and after the championship, but it doesn't change the fact that Hef and Milkman were wonderful and creative MCs.

connecting bboy Turtle with freestyle rapper Knostel da Huber

At around 6 o'clock in the evening, I connected Bboy Turtle (Unique Artists) and freestyle rapper Knostel da Huber for a streetshow. It was cold and the floor was wet. Since then, my camera doesn't work properly anymore, but it was worth it.

Watching breakdance during a freestyle rap gave me a lot of positive energy. That's when I truly feel that we are all connected. That's when I feel "Peace, Love, Unity and Having Fun". I was proud of both Hip Hop artists.

Both of them had a lot of energy, both were respectful and peaceful. Bboy Turtle showed a lot of power moves on an excellent level. And Knostel da Huber had his typical rhythmic flow and took his association from the surroundings. He rapped about people who passed us by, about jamming together, donation, the weather and passion. Knostel's girlfriend took a video of it. Both were jamming in harmony.

After the videoshoot, I had to go to Beli Vuk's first official gig.

meeting rapper Beli Vuk in person

I was one of the first guests at "Clubraum" in the 19th district. I just came too early. American oldschool Hip Hop was played. Beli Vuk was on time. He introduced himself as Beli and shook my hand respectfully. He was open-hearted and directly included me into his group of people who accompanied him. I will never get used to smoke cigarettes (I smoke small cigars) but I accepted his offer of a cigarette and smoked together with him and his peepz. I was flattered when Beli introduced me as his supporter proudly to everyone in his group. I then talked with some rappers and established contact with them.

Whenever there was a beat Beli heard and loved, he was rapping straight out and couldn't even stop. That's what I call motivation before a gig! :D I thought he would explode if he could not rap on stage soon. Haha!

Beli is half Serbian and half Austrian, he respects every kind of culture and shows this respect in defending it when people around him get a bit racist. He is a very kind, respectful and peaceful guy. When you talk to him, you feel like being his sister or his brother because he treats you like that. I'm excited in watching him during his career as a rapper.

Summary

It was a hard day for me being on three places on the west side of Vienna, even though I live in the far east of this city. It was fun to get to know these artists better. It is an honour for me to be part of their career in being their supporter.

All for the deep love to Hip Hop!
Kath
