Red Bull BC One Austria Cypher 2015 - summary 2

procedure and the battles

Rules: Each 1-on-1 battle had two rounds. There was no time limit. Only the final had three rounds.

16 Austrian breakers participated in the battles, 8 invited ones and 8 winners of the preselection. 56 breakers had registered for the preselection. Read on "Red Bull BC One Austria Cypher 2015 - minutes & videos" to read and watch who battled who in the top 16.


In one quarterfinal Bboy Smiley Face faced Bboy Valo. Both are from Vienna and belong to the same crew called "United Minds". After the quarter finals, there was a break. Breakers took the chance to cypher on stage. The stage was full. Male, female, young and old breakers had fun to dance.

Before the semifinal started, rapper Train D-lay presented three high quality tracks (Wunschlist'n, Richtig oder Foisch). The crowd raised their hands, danced and enjoyed his music. In the semifinals were Bboy Freaky Phil (Nobulus; Salzburg), Bboy Cherry (Prodigyy, champion '12; Vorarlberg), Bboy Valo (United Minds; Vienna) and Bboy Harlekin (United Minds; Upper Austria). One semifinal was thrilling. It was the battle Bboy Valo (United Minds; Vienna) vs. Bboy Harlekin (United Minds; Upper Austria), the champion of the Red Bull BC One Austria Cypher 2014.

Before the finals started, the judges, Bboy Crazy, Bboy Hong10 and Bboy Lil Amok had their show cases. Here's the video of it:

Bboy Lil Amok from the Flying Steps had an exclusive live interview with Mike Tike live on stage to promote the show "Flying Illusions" from his crew in Vienna in December 2015.

What do you think about the final Salzburg vs Vienna? Do you know what it means to win the BC One Austria Cypher? It means the qualification for the Red Bull BC One Western Europe Final. This is one step closer to become a world champion bboy. But for an Austrian bboy there are two steps needed to become that world champion: Winning the Red Bull BC One Western Europe Final and the Red Bull BC One World Final. Bboy Valo is the champion of the Red Bull BC One Austria Cypher 2015 and will represent Austria in the Red Bull BC One Western Europe Final.
