Hello, dear Hip Hop fans!

How was your New Year's Eve? Did you party hard? Well, I can tell you that in January there are many more reasons to enjoy Hip Hop culture in Vienna!

Tomorrow, one the 3rd of January, there will be a Free Hip Hop Night in the location called "The Loft". You can enjoy Hip Hop music with DJ Moerky (Bazzaka), DJ Cueing (SampleSlaya) and DJ Derryl Danston. Are you ready to jam? How you get there? Just get off from the underground line 6 at the station "Thaliastraße", cross the street. The address: 1160 Wien, Lerchenfeldergürtel 37
I don't know any of these DJs personally, but the owner of "The Loft" is a cool guy. :D

On Monday, the 5th of January, there will be "The Invitational - Freestyle Battle". Only the best freestyle rappers are invited to battle. I can't find any information about DJs and participants. :O But here's the address to the bar called "B72": 1080 Wien, Hernalser Gürtel Bogen 72 - 73. It's under the bridge, don't forget that! Otherwise you'll get lost if you've never been there before.

On Thursday, the 15th of January, the rappers Mista and Beli Vuk who are supported by the HHVB will participate in Vienna's one and only Rapbattle of three styles (freestyle, acapella, song battle) called "Dreistil"! After the Christmas break, it's time to battle again in January! Mista is in the final of the acapella battle and is close to get his price of fame and 200 Euro in cash. Beli Vuk is invited to present one of his tracks in the song battle to win 100 Euro in cash. Be there! It will take place in "The Loft". The address: 1160 Wien, Lerchenfeldergürtel 37
By the way: Rapper DerMog (Club der Menschen, März Records) won all three styles battles in November. :O The first one in the history of Dreistil! Congratulations!

On Saturday, the 24th of January, there will be two gigs by two Hip Hop acts in the location called "Arena". One will be by female Rapper CoCo - VIEs Realest aka SoReal and the other one by the rapper crew "Sprachsex". Two of the Sprachsex crew (Epos & Kaul Kwappen) are with Daniel Malik the organisators of the Dreistil Battle. SoReal is preparing the show properly already. ;) Entry fee: 5 Euro. On Thursday, the 29th of January, there will be a HipHop Thursday in the culture house "WUK". This edition is called "just to get a rep". There will be a kids battle and afterwards a Seven2Smoke battle. One of the organisators is Bboy Giant Rock from the HipHop Kulturkreis association. The address: 1090 Wien, Währinger Straße 59.

And this month will end on the 31st of January with Vienna's legendary HipHopJam by DJ Sammogly. It will take place at Roxy Club. Entry fee is 5 Euro. Let's jam and have fun on the dance floor. One must not always be judged at battles. One must have fun too. :) The address: 1040 Wien, Faulmanngasse 2.
