announcement: Hip Hop events in January '15

Hello, dear Hip Hop fans!

How was your New Year's Eve? Did you party hard? Well, I can tell you that in January there are many more reasons to enjoy Hip Hop culture in Vienna!

Tomorrow, one the 3rd of January, there will be a Free Hip Hop Night in the location called "The Loft". You can enjoy Hip Hop music with DJ Moerky (Bazzaka), DJ Cueing (SampleSlaya) and DJ Derryl Danston. Are you ready to jam? How you get there? Just get off from the underground line 6 at the station "Thaliastraße", cross the street. The address: 1160 Wien, Lerchenfeldergürtel 37
I don't know any of these DJs personally, but the owner of "The Loft" is a cool guy. :D

CoCo - VIEs Realest: Bad Habit - Videoshoot - Behind the scenes

Hello, dear readers!

My first task to unite Hip Hop artists of different Hip Hop elements is completed! Do you remember female rapper CoCo - VIEs Realest? If not, you should check out her short biography: http://hiphopvienna.blogspot.co.at/2014/07/coco-vies-realest.html

She asked me a month ago to get her some female dancers for a videoshooting. Supporting her, I wrote a shout out-blog entry shared it in the correct facebook-groups, asked HHVB-member Stella and my own supporter Mr. Ritz (TRIPLE G) to help us out. Finally, we had 10 confirmations.

What's comming up? (29th of September, 2014)

Yo, guys!

How you doin'? The last weeks were so much Hip Hop in Vienna. I won't tell you about every single Hip Hop event I've been because some were supported by politicians and we don't want any political content on the HHVB.

Rapper Faun (Club der Menschen crew) invited me to FREATZ, the Freestyle Rap Livestream aus Atzgersdorf, on the 21st of September for an interview with him. We both had no time for that interview, so he let me look behind the scenes of FREATZ. I took a lot of pictures and enjoyed watching DJ Dr. Drunkadelic (Hashtwins: Die Siamesischen Chillinge - Duo; Club der Menschen crew), resident-rappers Faun and X-L.E.O. (both from Club der Menschen crew) and guest rapper Mahiyo working for FREATZ. Stay tuned for the "FREATZ (21st of September, 2014) - Behind the Scenes" - blog entry with pictures!

week's summary by Kath (4th - 11th of August)

Good evening! :D

How are you doing, dear readers? It's Monday and I've started being diligently working on and for the HHVB.

Last Wednesday, I was training outdoor again with Stev-O and other dancers. It was surprising that some sprayers changed our favourite spot. All of a sudden, the legal walls were full of pink graffities. One day, I'm gonna catch one sprayer for the HHVB. :D

week's summary by Kath (14th - 20th of July)

Hello, hello, hello!

Kath is back. I got ill over the weekend! That's why I had to stop working on the HHVB. But I'm okay again and ready to go on working on the HHVB.

Last week I was invited to the birthday party of Dantaya (The Mind of Origin). I got to know singer Shary who has featured in several songs of "The Mind of Origin" crew. For example, "Time to Make a Change". What an amazing voice she has! :D An honour to know her personally.

week's summary by Kath (7th - 13th of July)

Hello, readers!

You all fine? My week was a busy one as always. :D I planned to meet a Viennese female rapper called Coco last Tuesday, met Dantaya last Wednesday and had a photoshooting in Lower Austria for my career as a poet last Saturday.

Coco and me didn't manage to meet for an interview on the 7th of July. But I'm eager to support her and will meet her today. :D

Last Wednesday, I met Dantaya from The Mind of Origin again to check his beats and tracks. I didn't know what to expect of a beat producer and rapper who has made music for over ten years, so I went there without any prejudice. Dantaya's warm-hearted hospitality made it easy for me to be open for his music. When I listened to most of his beats, I felt like standing or sitting somewhere while smoking. It was and still is fascinating for me that his big influence of oldschool Hip Hop and Reggea/Dancehall could be heard in most of the tracks combined with a deep impact of emotions. I wrote the short biography of his crew "The Mind of Origin" on the same evening and enjoyed sharing american hip hop music with him. Click here for the short biography and here to get a look at some pictures of merchandise-articles and their first mixtape (And no, it's not Vinyl!)!
